Commercial Due Diligence
Based on KPC consultants' experience of owning and managing businesses, we are able to carry out structured commercial due diligence on companies either as part of a refinancing process or to check that internal systems and procedures are robust. Typical areas reviewed include:
- validation of an order book
- qualification of sales pipelines
- assessment of product road maps
- review of operational procedures
- review of organisational development plans
- assessment of management teams
- overall business strategy
Often described as 'kicking the tyres', this type of business review can be very revealing and allows existing shareholders and new investors to better understand what substance lies behind the financial forecasts. Most review exercises can be carried out within two to three days and followed up by a 'bullet point' report tailored to suit the board or shareholders' requirements.
Interim Management
KPC offers clients a range of interim management solutions to assist companies manage change. A variety of roles can be undertaken including Executive Chairman and part time CEO positions as well as hands on financial and operational roles. KPC’s focus is to identify quickly where change is required and put forward an implementation programme which will be prepared with the support of management, the Board of Directors and the company’s shareholders. It is KPC’s preference to take ownership of the implementation plans to ensure that any new strategy is introduced effectively and efficiently and any resistance to change can be managed through coaching and mentoring work with key personnel.
